PITTSBURGH - Davison Design and Development's creative design facility, Inventionland, was recently featured in the new book from Ripley's Believe It or Not.
The title of the new book, "The Remarkable... Revealed" showcases many of the world's unique and notable people, events, and places. The Ripley's book is just another accolade for the Pittsburgh design company's one-of-a-kind workplace. Inventionland is described in the book as a "Tree-Mendous Office", a fitting name for the facility that includes a tree house, a pirate ship, and a giant robot as office space.
CEO George Davison commented, "Inventionland has been the subject of many news articles, business tours, and community events, but this mention in Ripley's is a true honor. I have always admired Ripley's because they are a company that celebrates unique individuals, and out-of-the-box thinking, and creativity."
"The Remarkable Revealed" is the latest book from Believe It or Not franchise which started in 1819 as a newspaper cartoon panel featuring unusual and startling facts from around the world. Other titles include, "World's Weirdest Gadgets", and "Odd-inary People".
Davison Design and Development is a new product development company and home of Inventionland. Last year the firm, which helps inventors, corporations and entrepreneurs, was recognized by the Industrial Designers Society of America and BusinessWeek magazine, winning two Industrial Design Excellence Awards.
